Leicester Regatta - 19th April 2009
Leicester Regatta 2009 was an overwhelming success, with 147 crews from 21 different clubs from all over the country in attendance competing in a near record 47 different events.

Safety and Organisation
We ask that all competitors and coxes have read the Safety and Organisation Plan which covers all aspects of the course, batch system and safety.
Due to the width of the canal the Regatta runs under a batch system. A batch of 6 to 8 races is held every 30 minutes with Competitors boating 30 minutes beforehand and marshaled above the finish line. After the previous batch has finished the crews then proceed up past the start, turn and are marshaled with their opposition. During the batch crews are started at roughly 2 minute intervals.
